Export Frames

Privacy

Short version: your video never leaves your device, and this site keeps no record of you.

Your video file

The frame extractor opens a file you pick with the browser's file chooser or by dragging it onto the page. Your browser decodes that file inside the tab and draws each captured frame onto a canvas in the same tab. The page contains no upload request: the file is not posted to this site, to a third party, or to any API. Close or refresh the tab and the browser drops the file.

What you download

Captured stills and the ZIP archive are assembled in your browser's memory and saved through your browser's normal download flow. They stay on your device.

Accounts, cookies, history

There is no sign-up, no login, and no stored history of what you extracted. This site sets no first-party cookies of its own and keeps no server-side record of the files you open.

Hosting

This site is static files served by Cloudflare Pages. As with any host or content delivery network, delivering a page to you involves processing the request itself, which means your IP address, your browser's user agent, and the URL you asked for are handled by Cloudflare as part of normal operation. That is the host doing its job, not this site collecting a profile. Cloudflare publishes what it processes in its own privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count page views. In the places where the law requires a choice before this kind of measurement — the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — the tag is not downloaded and no analytics cookie is written until you press Allow analytics on the notice at the bottom of the page; if you decline, nothing loads at all. Visitors elsewhere are measured without a notice, because no prior consent is required there.

Deciding which of the two applies is done by asking this site's own /api/geo endpoint, which reports the country Cloudflare already sees for your connection. Nothing is sent to a third party to make that decision, and the country is kept only for the length of your visit.

Where measurement runs, Google Analytics 4 records:

This site disables Google Signals and ad-personalisation signals for this measurement, so what is collected here is not used to personalise advertising on this site, and the reported page address never carries your query string.

In the Google Analytics property behind this site, event data is kept for 2 months and user data for 14 months (read from the property settings on 18 September 2026). Google's own handling of that data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Your answer, if you are asked for one, is remembered in this browser's local storage — a plain value, not a cookie — so you are not asked again. Clearing this site's data in your browser makes the notice appear once more.

Advertising

This tool is free, and the plan is to keep it free by showing third-party ads on the written sections of the page. No ad code is running on this site today. Before any ads are switched on, this page will be updated to name the ad provider, link to that provider's privacy policy, and state plainly what those ads collect — ad networks usually use cookies or device identifiers and may personalise ads from activity across other sites.

Children and sensitive data

This site is a general-purpose file utility. It is not directed at children, and it asks for no personal information at all, so there is nothing here for a visitor to hand over beyond the video they quietly keep to themselves.

Questions

Privacy questions go through the contact page. When something in this policy changes, the change will be described on this page rather than applied silently.
